Hey friends!

Yesterday I hosted a training on using D&D for professional development at work, and we had people calling in from Australia, Jakarta, Croatia, Lebanon, Northern Ireland, Canada and of course North America!

I shared how I build my business, what the research says about why role playing games work, and the method I built over the past year working with real teams. But the best part was the Q&A, because the attendees asked things I don’t normally get to answer.

Here’s some of what they wanted to know:

🎲 Combat is their favorite part of D&D. Does it even show up in a 60 to 90 minute work session?

🎲 How do you make D&D simple enough for people who have never played?

🎲 Is there an optimal group size for one of these games?

🎲 How do you watch team dynamics while also running the game?

🎲 What do you do when the team or the leader isn’t buying in?

🎲 What about people who genuinely hate games?

🎲 How do you keep everyone safe when you’re doing this at work?

I’m not going to answer those here. Watch the replay and you’ll get all of it, plus the four stats that make leadership more comfortable saying yes.

I truly believe, as I’m sure many of you do, that D&D is healing. It brings us back to ourselves and to each other, and it’s inspiring to see so many of you who want to carry that magic into the places where we spend most of our waking hours.

That’s exactly why I built the Leadership Game Master training. It opens Monday at 11 AM Eastern for our waitlist members, with exclusive pricing, and there are only 24 spots in this first cohort. If you want the details, join the waitlist.

Game on,
Laura
